By a hair’s breadth, NUTURN Gaming find their comeback victory 2-1 against Version1 to qualify for the Upper Bracket Finals of the VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters – Reykjavík.

To start the series off, Version1 were off on a high starting strong with a 13-3 game on Haven. At this point, everyone thought North America’s V1 were bound to close out the series 2-0 after that stomp.

However, South Korea trudged onwards and kept themselves in round after round in Ascent. After a close 7-5 first half, the teams continued going back-and-forth to reach overtime where Kim “Lakia” Jong-min got to mow down two from V1 with an Odin to get them the advantage to win the map 15-13.

In the last map, the pressure was at an all-time high with both halves going 6-6 to reach overtime once more in the series’ deciding game. But, this time, NUTURN were able to play it calm and steady and won Split 14-12 to advance to the upper bracket finals.
