A crucial game 3 turned the tides for Blacklist, switching to a more aggressive playstyle, while keeping their patented UBE strategy. However, the duo core of Kielvj’s Ling and Kelra’s Claude was too much in Game 4, and brought Exe to match point.

Down 3-1, it was do-or-die for Blacklist International. According to the team, it was their hero picks that was crucial for the next three wins.

Nung pinahawak nila yung Mathilda kay V33nus. Binigyan kami ng last chance para makapanalo. Yung Franco din, ang daming na-hook. Ang daming magandang plays nung Franco ni Eson,” said coach BON CHAN. (When they let us pick Mathilda for V33nus. That gave us one last chance to win. The Franco pick as well, he landed a lot of hooks. There were tons of good plays from Eson’s Franco.)

OhMyV33nus’ Mathilda garnered the Game 5 MVP with a 3/1/8 score line, accounting for 92% of the team’s kills that game. With critical hooks, Eson’s Franco was the MVP for Game 6, giving him seven assists and four kills, with only one death to his name. The final game 7 saw Wise pick up the rare Aldous, a hero he had a 100% Win Rate on. This game he had a 4/2/12 score line, with a 17% damage share.

Another pivotal member was Oheb, who was picked up by the team in the offseason from Amihan Esports.

Teammates, backend, proud ako sa kanila at sa sarili ko,” the rookie said in a post-game interview. (I feel so happy that I got to prove something even though I’m a rookie in the MPL. When I first came in, I still played like a kid. But I was guided by my teammates and the backend to get to where I am now. I’m so proud of them and of myself.)

Edward also bagged the Regular Season MVP Award for his efforts in helping the team achieve a historic 12-1 record.
