Ana Retires from DOTA 2
After 3 years of playing for OG, Anathan “ana” Pham finally announced his retirement from DOTA 2. Ana became one of the most iconic players in esports history by being a back-to-back TI champion and one of the best position 1 players the game had ever produced.
.@anadota99 has decided to no longer compete in Dota 2.
It was truly a great honor to play with you, and have you by our side my friend.
Thank you for everything you have done for us.#DreamOG pic.twitter.com/vmmcRm74ue

In his announcement, ana expressed his love for his teammates and his family and friends. He also indicated that even though the game has a special place in his heart, it is time to move on to the next chapter of his life.
Alongside teammates Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, Sebastian “Ceb” Debs, Johann “Notail” Sundstein, and Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka, they made the most emotional and historic TI8 campaign in DOTA history. They made another history again by being a back-to-back TI champion a year later.
Despite the announcement in the last DPC qualifiers that ana will play once again to compete for the Aegis of Champions and help OG’s run to qualify for the last Major, he exchanged farewells with the game he loved after 2 months.
Ultimately, the humble god will move on to the next chapter of his life and all of the fans can only say thank you for everything and good game, well played Ana!
