Video Game Music Pops Up At 2021 Tokyo Olympics Opening
Several video game themes from different series were played during the opening ceremonies of the Tokyo 2021 Olympics.

Famed Japanese video game track composer and pianist Yoko Shimomura also tweeted it was an honor to hear the tracks in the opening of one of the greatest sporting spectacles of the world.
“[Translated to English]”Olympus Coliseum” and “Hero’s Fanfare” from “Kingdom Hearts” were played in the game music medley of the player entrance songs! It’s a great honor for me. I saw it in the rear tie. Thank you for your immediate congratulations,” Shimomura tweeted.
