Riot Games announces Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021

Riot Games Southeast Asia is working with mobile esports tournament organizer ESL Asia to present the 2021 Wild Rift Southeast Asian Championships from September 14 to October 3.

The Championship is part of the Fall season of Riot Games’ official Southeast Asian tournament series – SEA Icon Series.
The tournament will feature 20 teams from Southeast Asia and Oceania. Teams from Southeast Asia will qualify through the SEA Icon Series held in 8 regions – Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Participants from Oceania – Australia and New Zealand – will qualify through the ESL Wild Rift Mobile Open Oceania Championship 2021.
Apart from the $200,000 prize pool, teams will also be competing for a slot to the Wild Rift World Championships 2021. The tournament will be broadcasted on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook in eight different languages.
The tournament will be held in three stages:
- Stage 1: Play-Ins – September 14 – 19, 2021
- Stage 2: Group Stages – September 23 – 26, 2021
- Stage 3: Main Event – September 30 – October 3, 2021
