Since its official release on September 28, 2020, Genshin Impact has earned miHoYo over $874 million in just 5 months and the game has maintained its player base by giving the community monthly updates and events. Since Genshin Impact players were expecting to get a huge reward for the upcoming anniversary celebration, everyone’s question was: what rewards will they be offering to the community?

miHoYo posted a list of Genshin Impact anniversary events and a lot of players were clearly not happy with the event rewards. People took to social media to express their disappointment over the celebration.

The lack of free heroes or large quantities of primogems were the main points of criticism over the event.

Some of the fans are encouraging the developers to make it a more “grandeur” celebration since it’s their first anniversary.

Regardless of this situation, Genshin Impact fans are not surprised since this is not their first time experiencing the lack of rewards for a big event.
