MSI Gaming Arena University Championship Philippines registration, qualifier dates announced

MSI, in partnership with Globe and Acadarena, brings the MSI Gaming Arena University Championship to Philippine shores. The program, spanning Southeast Asian countries Thailand, Malaysia Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, and now the Philippines, gives collegiate Valorant teams a platform to prove themselves as the best in the region.

SHS, Undergraduate, and Master’s students are eligible.

The format for the Php 200,000 prize pool tournament are as follows:

Qualifiers

• Four (4) Qualifiers will be held every Saturday starting October 30 (Saturday).
• The format for the qualifier will be a Single-Elimination best-of-1 bracket.
• The top 2 teams from each of the 4 qualifier groups (a total of 8 teams) will be seeded into the playoffs.
• Teams that have not yet placed Top 2 in a previous qualifier are free to register again in all succeeding qualifiers.

Playoffs

• The playoffs will consist of eight (8) qualified teams from the qualifiers. 
• Teams will be soft seeded into a single-elimination bracket based on qualifier standing. 
  • For example, a team that placed 1st in a qualifier will start the quarterfinals against a team that placed 2nd.
• All matches will be a best-of-3 except for the Grand Finals which will be a best-of-5.

Four qualifier dates for the University Championship have been announced.

• November 13 – Qualifier #3
• November 20 – Qualifier #4
• November 26-27 – Quarterfinals
• December 3 – Semifinals
• December 4 – Grand Finals
