Fnatic, EG at risk of elimination on TI10 Main Stage Day 1
Looking at the standings, one might wonder what the point of a four-day group stage is if only one team from each group gets eliminated. Making it out of groups looks easy enough, but that’s because the lower bracket is a death sentence.

Matches in The International Main Stage are best-of-three bar a couple of notable exceptions: the Grand Final which is best-of-five, and the first round of lower bracket games that are best-of-one. Eight teams will be subject to grueling best-of-ones today and only four will live to tell the tale.
Among those teams are Southeast Asia stalwarts Fnatic who are set to face North American stack Team Undying in the first lower bracket series of the day. Undying were at the center of last-minute group stage drama after drawing 1-1 with Evil Geniuses, dragging their NA counterparts to the lower bracket much to the delight of OG and T1.

The next series will pit Quincy Crew against a COVID-19-riddled Team Aster side who have been cleared to play after testing negative for the virus. Beastcoast will take on TI3 champions Alliance soon after. Day 1 of the main stage will be capped off with a contest between the star-studded lineups of Evil Geniuses and Elephant.
Elimination matches won’t be the only thing on the menu today, though. Upper bracket matches Invictus Gaming vs Team Spirit and Team Secret vs OG will take place before the airport battles begin.
