NAVI win BLAST Premier weeks after PGL triumph

Natus Vincere continue their stellar form as they take home another championship merely weeks after winning the PGL Major Stockholm 2021. Last night’s matches saw the end of BLAST Premier: World Final 2021 held in Copenhagen. BLAST Premier, like PGL Major, was held offline.

NAVI clawed their way in the lower bracket after losing to Team Liquid in the quarterfinals. Throughout their lower bracket run, NAVI only dropped one map: Inferno against G2 in Round 2. They would then go on to sweep Team Liquid and Team Vitality to face Gambit Esports in the Grand Final.

They lose the first map, Mirage, with Gambit having a sizable round lead, 16 – 11. The NAVI roster from this moment seem to have fully activated, surely in no small thanks to in-game leader Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov and AWPer Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev. NAVI evens the match after a 16 – 11 win on Ancient, and seals the deal with a dominating 16 – 6 victory on Ancient.
