The official publisher of the world’s best-selling video game franchise said that they are creating an all-new, AAA mobile experience that will bring the thrilling, fluid, and large-scale action of Call of Duty®: Warzone™ to “players on the go.”
However, Activision did not mention anything about cross-platform play with PC and Consoles which suggests the game would just be mobile-only.
Warzone will be the second Call of Duty game coming to mobile. It will follow Call of Duty: Mobile, which has seen a lot of success since it was released globally in October 2019. Activision’s Q4 2021 earnings call revealed that CODM made more than $1 billion in revenue through consumer spending. With a mobile Warzone, the company hopes to replicate this feat sooner or later.
