Perennial Filipino title contenders Smart Omega and Blacklist International Ultimate have set up a titanic clash between them after dispatching their respective opponents on Day 1 of the CODM Garena Masters Playoffs.

Blacklist took care of business against rising contender and another Filipino team Mamba LowKings 3-0 in the first upper bracket semifinals matchup. The defending Garena Masters champions dominated the respawns, scoring 150-76 in Hardpoint at Raid and 150-110 in Domination at Firing Range. The LowKings kept it close in Search and Destroy at Slums before eventually succumbing to the greatness of Blacklist and losing 4-6.

On the other hand, Smart Omega dominated old-age rival ALMGHTY of Singapore in the second upper bracket semis matchup, winning 3-1 in the best-of-five series. The former Kings of Garena won games in Hardpoint at Raid 150-113, Search and Destroy at Standoff 6-0, and Hardpoint at Firing Range 150-70 and lost the game in Domination at Summit 134-150. This marks the first time in over a year that Smart Omega has beaten ALMGHTY in a series, and it comes at a perfect time right when they are peaking and their chemistry is at an all-time high.
