Solo Departs Team Empire
Aleksey goes solo.
Team Empire’s support player, Aleksey “Solo” Berezin, departs the Russian squad due to personal reasons according to a statement posted by Team Empire on Wednesday, Dec. 10.
In the statement, Alexander “StrangeR” Solomonov, Team Empire’s CEO, said that Solo took an “unexpected decision” of departing the team to take a “break and relax” for the time being.
“[Thank you] Team Empire for the opportunity to prove myself in the role of a support, but unfortunately, I have to take a break from DotA indefinitely for personal reasons,” said Solo, who was part of the Russian squad for three months, in a statement.
Solo will stay in the Dota 2 competitive scene, focusing his attention on streaming.
“Aleksey took an unexpected decision for us to take a break and give the team the opportunity to play without him. The management did not object to this,” said Stranger in the statement.
Meanwhile, Airat “Silent” Gaziev picks up the helm for Team Empire and will play with “Alohadance” as the team’s stand-in.
“As for the candidacy of the 5th player, we will not hurry with this and announce him when we are completely sure,” said Stranger.
