RSG Philippines sent Orange Esports to the lower bracket of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup 2022 (MSC 2022) after their 3-0 win in their best-of-3 series.

RSG PH Takes Game 1

RSG PH took the first game of the series with relative ease.

RSG PH wasted no time as they quickly took control of the game right from the start. After quite some time, the Raiders tried to end the game at the 15-minute mark but Orange Esports was able to stave them off. However, it was a second time’s a charm for RSG PH as one more final siege at their opponent’s base at the 17-minute mark ended the game.

FEATURED STORIES

The Raiders were so dominant, in fact, that both Arvie “Aqua” C. Antonio (Kagura) and Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo (Thamuz) went deathless for 15 straight minutes before they got shut down late in the game. Meanwhile, Eman “EMANN” Sangco (Beatrix), who took the MVP honor by the end of the game, was allowed to wreak havoc as he capitalized on the space created by Jonard “Demonkite” Cedrix Caranto (Akai) and the hooks of Dylan “Light” Catipon (Franco).

Late Game Comeback in Game 2

RSG’s path to victory was met with a bumpy second game as they almost lost to Orange Esports.

The Raiders got bullied heavily on the early game as Orange Esports had a composition primed for an early game advantage. They initially had trouble dealing with Muhammad “Garyy” Syafizan as his Fanny swooped in to kill them. Fortunately, RSG was able to catch up by the fourteen-minute mark when they slowly overcame Orange’s gold lead. Soon after, things were at a long stalemate as both teams danced around the soon-to-be the last Lord. After they eliminated three of Orange’s players who overstayed in the bottom lane, RSG PH secured the said lord, marched with it, and destroyed the enemy base to secure a comeback victory in the almost 30-minute match.

Dominance in Third & Final Game

Riding high from their epic comeback win from the previous game, the Raiders once again dominated for the third and final game of the series.

RSG PH started the game with a bang as they instantaneously took 4 immediate kills in just three minutes. From there, they simply never let go of their lead to end the game in 18 minutes. Aqua (Kagura) and EMANN (who brought back the Bloodlust Axe Karrie) went deathless until the end as they recorded 7/0/7 and 8/0/5 KDA respectively. Meanwhile, Light was also able to take the game’s MVP honors as he left Orange Esports in shambles.

With this result, RSG PH will advance to the Upper Bracket Finals against RRQ Hoshi. Meanwhile, Orange Esports drops down to the Lower Bracket Quarter Finals to face the other Filipino representatives Smart Omega.
