Vagabonds Esports triumphant again, wins Garena Invitational Battle Royale 2022
Reigning Garena Survivors champion Vagabonds Esports is on top of the CODM battle royale scene once more — but this time in the entirety of Garena and Southeast Asia.

Vagabonds followed up an outstanding performance in the inaugural Garena Survivors by displaying an emphatic encore performance to win the Garena Invitational Battle Royale (GIBR) 2022. They won a superb 8 out of 16 rounds played over the course of two days, enough for a 50 percent win rate in the tournament.
All in all, Vagabonds Esports finished with tournament-bests of 179 kill points and 149 place points for a total of 328 points — 55 more than second-place and sister team Vagabonds Nomads.

The team also had three players finishing in the top 10 of the ‘Kill Leaders’ in the tournament led by Josef Brey “Blue” Evidente with 63 kills, Luke Emmanuel “Lukie” Jorolan with 47 kills, and Jacq “Yato” Gelacio Maranga with 46 kills.

The 24-team tournament, which was composed of the best battle royale teams in the region, had teams coming from Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau, and Malaysia go head to head with PH’s best.
