Five Filipino Teams Qualify for Hyper Front Elite Cup Playoffs
Five Filipino teams have qualified for the first-ever Hyper Front Elite Cup – SEA Division playoffs after their group stage matches.
RSG PH, UTG International, BREN Esports, Smart Omega, and Demigods Esports have all made it as the Filipinos make it 5/5 invited teams to make the playoffs.
RSG PH topped Group A with 4 round wins and a tournament-high net score of 26 points while UTG International finished at the top of Group B as well with 3 round wins and a net score of 13.
Moreover, BREN Esports finished second in Group C with 2 wins and a net score of -2, virtually winning a tiebreaker against Indonesia’s VOIN SBO Esports. Lastly, Smart Omega won Group D by a landslide with a net score of 24 and 4 round wins while Demigods Esports finished second in the group with 2 points and a net score of 6.

The playoff stage bracket for the tournament will commence for the Filipinos with Group B no.1 UTG International facing Group A no.2 Dunia Games Esports of Indonesia in the first pairing. Group A no.1 RSG PH will then face Group B no.2 Geek Fam of Malaysia.
On the other hand, Smart Omega and BREN will face each other in the last pairing after The Infinity and DEMIGODS’ clash in the third pairing. The all-Filipino bout was set up courtesy of the former’s top 1 finish in Group D and the latter’s top 2 finish in Group C.

All matches for the first round of the playoffs will start on August 13th at 6:00 PM ( UTC+7 ). Games can be watched through Hyper Front’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel and the live streams will be presented in English, Indonesian and Thai.
