European Dota 2 team OG bring home the trophy after sweeping the floor with Team Aster in the recently concluded ESL One Malaysia 2022. The team crawled its way from under the lower bracket to snag the championship title from Team Aster, who has had a nearly-undefeated playoffs record.

The first two games of the championship series were carried by the Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf’s powerful plays on Mars in the offlane. ATF’s space-creation and early engage potential helped the rest of OG snowball their way into victory. OG kept the momentum on their side and managed to wipe Team Aster in a stunning 3-0 championship series.

OG’s win against Team Aster is a shot at retribution. The two teams met in the PGL Arlington Major playoffs, where Team Aster would kick OG out of the tournament. The team played with stand-in Evgenii “Chuvash” Makarov, who filled in for Mikhail “Misha” Agatov and help carry the team towards victory. OG’s recent tournament performances have been stellar, which could potentially translate into a stellar performance in The International.
