Delivered in their own language, Global Esports gave some insight as to how they are planning to take on the Pacific League in terms of which players to field in.
According to them, they scout players more than just the mechanical skills as they’re also looking at a player’s intangibles such as decision making and commitment to play at the highest tier of VALORANT esports.
They also admit that the South Asian region has a skill gap against the other regions in VALORANT and thus they plan to remedy it with a massive 10-man roster, consisting of both current and new players, all of which are set to train in South Korea where the Pacific League will be held. Out of the ten players, only six of them will be fielded into the Pacific League.
For now, Riot Games has yet to decide whether or not they will accept this roster format and will probably address it soon.
As of this article’s writing, the Global Esports roster is composed of the following:
- Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar
- Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury
- Pranav “Kohliii” Kohli
- Bhavin “HellrangeR” Kotwani
- Akshay “KappA” Sinkar
- Jayanth “skillZ” Ramesh
- Hong “Eraser” Chang-pyo (홍창표) (Coach)
- Vatsal “Nghtmre2k” Uniyal (Manager)
