Fnatic bow out of TI11 after lower bracket loss to Gaimin Gladiators
Southeast Asian Dota 2 team Fnatic bow out early in the International 11 playoffs stage after succumbing to European team Gaimin Gladiators. The teams faced off in the first round of the lower bracket, with a grueling best-of-1 deciding who advances and leaves the TI11 main stage.
After a heartbreaking loss against Gaimin Gladiators, we bow out of The International 11. Despite all of the challenges we faced, we are still proud of making it to #TI11.
We want to thank all our fans and the huge support given to us on this journey. 🧡🖤#AlWAYSFNATIC pic.twitter.com/giKCdsPaJH

The SEA team faced off against a Morphling hyper-carry composition with their Sniper-Templar Assassin core duo. The composition looked good on paper as it does in pub matches, but today’s loss proved otherwise. Although they won the early laning phase, Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov’s well-farmed Morphling proved to be unstoppable in the late game.
The Fnatic bid their TI11 hopes farewell as they exit the tournament, leaving only BOOM Esports to represent the SEA region in the coming days of The International 11.
Fnatic had a strong showing in the group stage relative to their SEA counterparts, almost qualifying for the upper bracket. Meanwhile, fellow SEA teams Talon Esports and BOOM Esports hung on the edge on the fourth day of the TI11 group stages.
Gaimin Gladiators will be facing the loser between OG and Tundra’s match tomorrow, October 21.
