The Orcas started the series with confidence as they controlled Game 1’s tempo to their tune. They dominantly finished the game 17-6 in fifteen minutes and fifty-nine seconds. Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya was proclaimed MVP of the game as he went 5/1/7 with Yu Zhong. Interestingly enough, Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales was deathless the entire match as he posted a clean 1/0/7 KDA.
However, ECHO would then lose Game 2 to RRQ Hoshi, their only loss in the series. The Filipino representatives fell to a reverse situation as RRQ held the tempo of the match this time around. The game ended 15-6 in favor of the Indonesian squad, with RRQ Hoshi’s jungler going for a clean 6/0/6 record.
Fortunately, ECHO swept the next two games to win the series.
Game 3 saw ECHO sport an ultra-aggressive lineup that was composed of Pharsa (Alston “Sanji” Pabico), Karrie (Bennyqt), Lapu-Lapu (Sanford), Atlas (Tristan “YAWI” Cabrera), and Akai (Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno). In Game 4, they sported a similar lineup but replaced Yawi’s Akai with his signature Chou and Bennyqt’s Karrie with Claude.
With their win against RRQ Hoshi, ECHO proceeds to the grand finals where they’ll meet Blacklist International again after their initial loss against the defending champions in the upper bracket finals.
