Cebuano Genshin Impact Fans Hold Community Cupsleeve Event
Last Sunday, January 29, 2023, diehard Cebuano Genshin Impact fans gathered together for a community-driven cupsleeve event. Held in a local tea house in Cebu, Memories in the Sky: A Genshin Impact Cupsleeve Event was hosted by the folks at the Traveler’s Troupe Cebu, a local group of Genshin Impact fans from Cebu.
“Traveler’s Troup Cebu [is] a fan group in Cebu that’s focused on Genshin Impact events,” said Francis Kate Ouano, a head administrator from Traveler’s Troupe Cebu. “Mostly, we hold [unofficial] cupsleeve events.”

Already on their second cupsleeve event, Ouano stated that this cupsleeve focused on the Lantern Rite event, which was simultaneously happening on the game itself.
“We wanted to make a gathering in Cebu since we’ve noticed that there are a lot of [Genshin Impact] cosplayers [within the city], mostly Liyue and Inuzama [characters],” Ouano noted.

The Memories in the Sky: A Genshin Impact Cupsleeve Event featured various cupsleeves for the attendees, several Genshin Impact-inspired menu items, artists’ booths that sold their respective fan art merchandise, and a ton of giveaways.

With the event’s success, Ouano and the rest of the Traveler’s Troupe Cebu certainly hope that this cupsleeve event of theirs will attract miHoYo itself and grace the Cebuano community events that they would someday enjoy in their city.
“[Traveler’s Troupe Cebu] is a growing community. If the opportunity [to work with miHoYo] comes, then why not?”
