Rage out, Kevs in for Smart Omega CODM
Smart Omega CODM recently announced a series of roster moves that will shake up the competitive CODM scene this season.
The top Call of Duty: Mobile team in the country is bidding goodbye to regular mainstay Ronan “Rage” Eleria while welcoming back old friend Kevin “Kevs” Baguio in two separate Facebook posts on its official page earlier this week.
Fresh off their 6th place finish during last year’s CODM World Championship last month, Smart Omega has decided to mix it up ahead of the 4th CODM Garena Masters this weekend.
This will be Smart Omega’s first tournament in a long while without Rage, whom they acquired in May of 2022. The 19-year-old slayer was a vital part of their success in 2022, winning Garena Masters 3 and 4 and placing second in the Garena Regional Qualifier.
The team is reacquiring prodigy Kevs to fill in the hole left by Rage. Kevs was notably known as the replacement to original NRX and Smart Omega star Benjamin “CRUSH” Trinidad and helped the team reclaim its lost glory by being a revelation of talent at Garena Masters 2. Due to age restrictions at Worlds, however, Smart Omega was forced to release Kevs, who then went on to play for Smart Omega’s HyperFront team along with captain JC “Jayzee” Rivera.
Now with Rage out and Kevs back in, the Smart Omega CODM lineup is as follows:
- Jerrold “Woopiiee” Regay (team captain)
- Kennedy “iDra” Mondoy
- John Kenneth “KenDy” Pimentel
- Nel “R1SKY” Buemio.
- Kevin “Kevs” Baguio
Catch all five in action in the upcoming CODM Garena Masters 4.
