It was a competitive Game 1 on Fracture but Talon Esports drew first blood with a 13-10 win. DRX’s composition featured a sentinel-less, dual-controller setup with Omen and Viper but it was unable to stop Apiwat “garnetS” Apiraksukumal and the rest of the Talon crew.
DRX bounced back come Game 2 through a dominant 13-6 finish at Ascent. Initially, it looked like Talon carried over their Game 1-winning momentum but DRX managed to keep it close, ending the first half with a 6-6 tie. However, DRX then went on a seven-round rampage to close it out without giving Talon any chances of coming back.
DRX then claimed the decider map on Icebox with a 13-10 win. Despite losing the first three rounds, DRX finished the first half 7-5 in their favor and eventually closed the game as defenders in Round 23 without losing the lead.
With their win, DRX will proceed to the semifinals of the entire VCT LOCK//IN tournament wherein they will face fellow Alpha Bracket competitor LOUD to determine who will reach the grand finals against Omega Bracket’s top team.
