Kyedae reveals heartbreaking cancer diagnosis to fans

Content creator Kyedae Shymko revealed saddening news about her health to her fans.

Kyedae broke the news of her diagnosis through a tweet published early on March 3rd, 2023. “I’ve recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (cancer),” it read.

I’ve recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (cancer). I’ll be starting up treatment very soon. With that being said I’m not too sure how my body will react to the treatment so I do apologize in advance if my stream schedule isn’t consistent! Stay safe <3

Acute myeloid leukemia, or AML, is defined as a cancer of the blood and bone marrow and is also the most common type of acute leukemia in adults. Treatment usually involves chemotherapy and radiation therapy, but treatment types can vary depending on certain factors, such as the AML subtype.

Kyedae’s tweet reached over 3 million views in just under two hours of being out, with a plethora of gaming personalities and content creators populating the replies. Others offered their best wishes for her fast recovery:
