Call of Duty Mobile Summer Invitational to feature China, Japan, Southeast Asia
A brand new event called Call of Duty Mobile Summer Invitational 2023 is set to rock the region’s pro scene. The tournament, which is a continuation of the Masters Season 5 in Chinese CODM, is now in full swing. The said event will commence on May 25, right after China’s CODM Masters S5.
Call of Duty Mobile Summer Invitational or CDSI will feature teams from three regions: China, Garena (Southeast Asia), and Japan. There will be a total of 18 teams participating, 8 from China; 8 from Garena; and 2 from Japan.
Moreover, aside from the team competition, there will also be a separate competition called the Individual Sniper Challenge. This will feature the best sniper players from each of the teams in participation for the CDSI.

Format:
- Play-in Stage
- Participants：8 teams
- 5th to 8th teams from CDM
- 5th to 8th teams from GA
- 8 teams are divided into two groups where they play a single round-robin So3 format
- The top 1 team from each group will advance to the group stage
- Participants：8 teams
- Group Stage:
- Participants: 12 teams
- 1st to 4th from CDM
- 1st to 4th from GA
- 1st to 2nd from JPN
- 2 teams from the play-in stage
- 2 teams are divided into two groups where they play a single round-robin Bo5 format
- The top 4 teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage
- Participants: 12 teams
- Knockout Stage:
- 8 teams from the group stage will play a double elimination Bo7 format
Group Allocation:
- Play-in Stage:
- 8 teams will be divided into 2 groups according to their regional ranking
- Group Stage: 12 teams will be divided into 2 groups by random draw
- Knockout Stage: 1st & 2nd teams from each group will be allocated into upper bracket; 3rd & 4th teams from each group will be allocated into lower bracket
The official prize pool for the tournament is yet to be revealed.
