After initially falling to the lower bracket, ECHO had to climb their way up to the grand finals by facing top 1 seed Bren Esports, which they defeated 3-1, and RSG Philippines.
Their match against RSG proved to be their toughest matchup for the day as it went all the way to five games. The first win of the ECHO-RSG series went to the Orcas, winning the game in just under fourteen minutes. Then, the games went back and forth as RSG took the second and third games away from ECHO. With both teams tied, Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno showed RSG’s John “Irrad” Abarquez a Lancelot master class, outplaying Irrad’s Fredrinn and recording a 1/1/6 KDA, to win the game and the series,

After punching a ticket to the grand finals from the lower bracket, the Orcas had smooth sailing toward claiming their MPL PH Season 11 trophy.
Fresh from their victory earlier against RSG, ECHO dominated the series from the get-go by closing the first game 15-4, with KarlTzy claiming the MVP once more with Lancelot yet again. ECHO then continued their winning momentum by winning games 2 and 3 quickly, ending the second game in under twelve minutes while the third game only lasted fourteen minutes.
With the MPL championship at hand’s reach, ECHO closed the series phenomenally on Game 4, thereby breaking the M-series curse and granting Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya, Alston “Sanji” Pabico, Frederic “Bennyqt” Gonzales, and Tristan “YAWI” Cabrera their respective first MPL PH championship ever.
Additionally, Sanford also took home the MPL PH Season 11 Grand Finals MVP, which he was shocked to receive.
“[Hindi ko inexpect yung Grand Finals MVP] kasi binubuhat lang po ako ng team ko kasi ang lakas po nila (I didn’t expect the Grand Finals MVP because I was carried by my team because they’re really strong),” he stated in the post-grand finals interview.
Both ECHO and Blacklist International will represent the country in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Southeast Asia Cup 2023 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
