Upcoming RTS Stormgate gameplay to be featured in summer showcase of PC Gaming Show
The spiritual successor to the likes of Command & Conquer and Starcraft and hyped as the future of the real-time strategy genre, Stormgate from Frost Giant Studios is set to show early gameplay footage in PC Gamer’s live PC Gaming Show this coming June 11.

Hosted by both Sean “Day[9]” Plott and Frankie Ward, Stormgate along with 54 other titles is to be featured in the summer showcase. Among other titles mentioned in announcements were Baldur’s Gate 3, Frostpunk 2, and Dune: Awakening. There’s also a segment for the first looks of 20 brand-new titles from studios around the world.
Stormgate first debuted in June 2022 during the Summer Game Fest 2022 where they showed some pre-alpha gameplay footage and an opening cinematic that laid out the gist of the game. The game is set amidst a war between technologically advanced humanity and a horde of demonic-looking alien invaders.

Though still in development, Frost Giant Studios have released several in-game content including concept art, in-game models, and other life updates on their official Twitter @PlayStormGate. The game is still in alpha with closed testing beginning in July.
Marketed as the free-to-play RTS, the new title is primed to bring some needed life back into the real-time strategy genre. With developers in the team coming from previous legendary RTS titles like Starcraft 2 and Warcraft 3, a lot of positive expectations are set for Stormgate.
Most in the RTS community also have expressed positive regards for Stormgate with content creators such as WinterStarcraft and Lowko stating their support for the upcoming title. The game has also reached the Top 100 Wishlist on Steam.
The PC Gaming show is scheduled at 1:00 PM PDT / 4:00 PM EDT / 9:00 PM BST / 10:00 PM CEST on Sunday, June 11. The stream is available in PC Gamer’s Twitch channel, YouTube, Twitch Gaming, Steam, and Bilibili.
