Blacklist International came into the knockout stage as the top seed from Group D, beating the likes of Team Occupy and TODAK.
Meanwhile, Fire Flux Impunity was Group A’ second seed as the other Filipino MSC hopefuls ECHO secured the first place from their group.
“I really respect Fire Flux Impunity that’s why we gave our 100% in the match,” Blacklist team captain Jonmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna stated.
Additionally, OhMyV33nus also hoped to see FIMP in M5.
“To my sister [Sacit “Badgalseph” Arslan], I hope to see you in M5. Good luck on your journey.”
At the start of their series, Blacklist’s dominance was immediately put on the show. During the first game, Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo managed to record a Maniac on FIMP, only missing Mehmed “Kazue” Öztürk to almost complete a Savage.
In Game 2, Blacklist initially had a slow start due to Sidar “Kyura” Menteşe’s Fanny pick. Fortunately, the agents were able to decode how to deal with FIMP and win the game to put themselves up two games in the series.
Finally, Blacklist finished the series by taking the third game. Although Blacklist won the game, FIMP kept the game close by holding miniscule gold leads despite being behind in kills for most of the game. FIMP’s advantage only lasted up until Blacklist’s first Lord thus ultimately sealing their fate.
As a result of their series, Blacklist International continues their upper bracket journey where they’ll face BURN x FLASH while FIMP sadly exits from the tournament.
