Philippine esports and gaming household name Bren Esports is having a shift in management and will now compete as AP Bren.

In a press conference last July 3, executives of the newly-announced AP Bren revealed the big, but welcome, change. Aces Pro Corp (AP) are now the owners of Bren Esports, bringing forth AP Bren.

Jean Alphonse “AJ” Ponce leads Aces Pro Corp. Followers of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang landscape may be familiar with Ponce and his established brands like “Tambay TV League” and the AP Esports amateur MLBB teams. “The rebrand enables the team to move forward from the organizational challenges of 2023 and perform significantly better through the infusion of more resources for recruitment and player development. The Bren brand is well-loved and it has proven itself in multiple leagues. While there is no shortage of raw talent in its roster, my hope is that our leadership can help propel them to go ever upward,” says Ponce.

Bren CEO Leo “Jab” Escutin is still an active hand in the organization’s decisions, according to him. This change in hands will also not affect how the teams are being managed. On top of this, AP Bren are possibly seeking opportunities in other game titles in the future.
