After exploring the real world with Pokémon GO, you can now rest and still continue your journey of becoming the very best even as you doze off with the newest mobile app: Pokémon Sleep.

First announced way back in 2019, we finally have a sneak peek of what we could expect with Pokémon Sleep, the newest mobile app from The Pokémon Company.

Basically, Pokémon Sleep is a sleep-tracking app that lets you track your sleeping cycles. True to its sleep-tracking nature, Pokémon Sleep allows you to peek at your sleeping statistics such as the amount of time you’ve taken to fall asleep, the length of your snoozefest, and even take audio recordings while you’re deep in your slumber (sleep talkers and serial snorers beware).

For its actual Pokémon features, you will be filling your Sleep Style Dex—which is more or less a Pokédex but for, as the name suggests, sleeping styles—as you attract different Pokémon with different sleeping styles. Every species of Pokémon also has different sleeping styles to discover, making catching them all a bit more challenging with the sheer amount to collect.

Every week, a Snorlax will be with you. You can feed Snorlax to increase its strength and witness it grow as it gets bigger every day. Furthermore, multiplying Snorlax’s strength with your Sleep Score—which you get through the length of your sleep; longer snoozes mean higher scores—will determine your Drowsy Power. More Drowsy Power means more Pokémon to encounter.

Pokémon Sleep is set to release on both IOS and Android later this month, with pre-registration currently ongoing for Android through the Google Play Store.
