Newly-formed Filipino Dota 2 team Ivory reached the semifinals of the APAC Predator League 2025. The team chalked up their performance to pride, confidence, and hard work.

The squad is coached by John “Teehee” Abanto, a veteran in the professional Dota 2 scene. He has been part of teams such as TNC Pro Team, Smart Omega, and XERXIA in the past.

When prompted where the confidence stems from, Glenard “Rupido” Rugay says: “Yung mga opponents po namin na nandito, nakakalaro namin lagi. Alam na namin kung sino [sila], at lagi din naman namin tinatalo. Confident kami [sa] team namin; alam namin [we’re in] good form, good shape.”

Rupido also expressed his pride in the team. “Proud na proud ako sa team kasi… kahit alam naming makaka-qualify kami, proud pa din kasi hindi nag-lead sa disappointment.”

They were matched against Malaysia’s Myth Avenue Gaming. This eventually led to their elimination from the competition as they drop the series, 1-2. MAG advanced to the grand finals and swept Team Helios, 2-0, to lift the Predator Shield.

Dric~ says they “could have made it farther, if we just did better.” As for the future of the team, he says that they are preparing for upcoming tournaments, like ESL DreamLeague.
