Alliance Games Season 5 to begin in 2025

Alliance Games Season 5 will start in 2025, with five new game titles for a total of nine games that collegiate and senior high school esports players can compete in their respective regions.
The new season will start its regional conferences across the country, with three conferences in Metro Manila.
New games to an already stacked deck
New additions include Dota 2, Marvel Rivals, Team Fight Tactics, and Tekken 8, adding to an already stacked season comprising staples like Valorant, Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM), League of Legends PC, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB).
“We restructured Alliance Games in a certain way to make it more rewarding for the people in the backend,” added AcadArena co-founder Ariane Lim.
The company also noted that volunteer positions are also open for student players and creatives, among others.
Last year’s games were held at National University-Laguna, and three education institutions won the five-day event. This season, regional games will be held on different dates to accommodate other conferences.
Building communities at the heart of Alliance Games Season 5
The Alliance Games, which carry the #NotJustPlay motto, aims to normalize esports communities across the country amid an increased interest in competitions in the industry, which Lim calls a “double-edged sword.”
“The increase in collegiate competitions [this] past year is a double-edged sword. More students want to compete rather than lead their communities. The community side has been neglected. That’s our focus now,” she added in an interview with Esports Inquirer.
She also adds there are other career paths in esports aside from competition: “We want to turn gamers into leaders and better young professionals. At AcadArena Education, we gamify extracurriculars to make it easier for student leaders to build communities.”
