2024 Philippine Esports Awards returns to recognize esports greatness
The Philippine Esports Awards is back for the third in a row as it sets to recognize the icons and trailblazers of the industry anew for their achievements in 2024. The red carpet event returns to the Toyota Center in UP Diliman for its third iteration.
The event aims again to spotlight the professional players, content creators, and backend people who fuel the esports industry forward. From Esports Stage Host of the Year to Esports Personality of the Year, the Philippine Esports Awards aims to leave no stone unturned as it recognizes the greats in Philippine esports.
This year’s edition sees the event partner with Liga Adarna, a pioneering All-Female Esports competition organizer, to award the wonderful women of the industry. The 2024 Philippine Esports Awards will introduce the Woman of the Year, Female Esports Team of the Year, and the Female Esports Athlete of the Year in partnership with Liga Adarna.
While the finalists in each category have not been announced, we are looking forward to the star-studded event, which will likely feature big names like Manjean Faldas, Mara Aquino, Een Mercado, and Bianca Yao in attendance come awards night in April. Rising esports title Honor of Kings and the Tencent team are also looking to shake things up in the country where Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has reigned supreme for some time now.
Last year, the awarding body recognized esports royalty Alodia Gosiengfiao with the Lifetime Award, then on-the-rise production company CBZN Perspectives and Chinese company Moonton’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang as the number one esports title. Tickets for the public are available via the event’s website.
