Ninjas in Pyjamas Gets Alienware Area 51 Dota 2 Cup
After three days of nonstop action, Ninjas in Pyjamas gets their first ever Dota 2 title in the Alienware Area 51 Dota 2 Cup after beating Virtus Pro, 2-1. NiP grabs a respectable cash prize of $4,500 for bagging the first place, while VP gets $2,500 for their efforts.
It is important to note that the Swedes, formerly known as LAJONS, basically won the championship on the back of strong performances from Adrian “Era” Kryeziu as well as Joel “Apemother” Larsson and Jonas “jonassomfan” Lindholm.
The Swedish team has been producing exciting strategies such as the “Venomancer+AA” pick as well as exhibiting top-notch plays since they were picked up by the premier Nordic organization earlier this month.
They most recently grabbed a third place finish at the Starladder Season XI Lan Finals.
Here is the total prize pool:
1st place: Ninjas in Pyjamas ($4,500)
2nd place: Virtus.Pro ($2,500)
3rd/4th place: Team Tinker ($1,500)
3rd/4th place: Team Empire ($1,500)
