After a grueling second wave that pitted the top teams from the Northern and Southern Conferences in a series of exciting games, the top two teams from each conference will clash tomorrow for Razer NeXT’s Season 2 semi-final matches.

For tomorrow’s semi-final matches, the top teams from each conference will battle the second seeded team from the opposite conference.

Last leg’s champion and current top-seeded Southern Conference team, Arcanys Gaming, will battle Northern Conference second seed Minerva. Meanwhile, Northern Conference first rank Execration will take on southern second rank Wakeup Girls.

Arcanys Gaming will look to extend their dominance in the country’s local Dota 2 scene by clinching the title two legs in a row. In what could be a groundbreaking match, Execration will look to prevail against Wakeup Girls to wait for the Cebuano team in the finals.

At different points in 2014, both Arcanys Gaming and Execration have been hailed as the best team in the Philippines. Execration’s claim to fame was qualifying for the StarLadder Season X Local Area Network (LAN) finals in Kiev, Ukraine last September. Arcanys, on the other hand, was the first runner-up of the recent concluded Mineski Pro Gaming League Season 6 Southeast Asian Grand Final held at the Skydome, SM North Edsa last November.

The Cebuanos have proven so far that they are the kings of Razer NeXT. Will they complete their steady trek to the finals or will less established teams upset the defending champs on the way to the crown? The battle heats up with games starting on 7 p.m., Jan. 29, 2015, Thursday.

Coverage for the games will be provided by Charles “KaeLiu” Liu on his personal Twitch channel.
