Fire Dota Burns ROOT Gaming, Secures StarLadder XI America Slot

Fire Dota (former Sneaky Nyx Assassins) swept the StarLadder Season XI American qualifiers (SL XI) against ROOT Gaming, 3-0, securing America’s lone Local Area Network (LAN) Finals Slot in Kiev, Monday, Dec. 22.
Throughout the playoffs, Fire Dota didn’t drop a single game (7-0).
The lone American representative will join the likes of Invictus Gaming (iG) and CDEC Gaming (CDEC) from China, and the sole Southeast Asian (SEA) team, MVP.Phoenix (MVP), in the SL XI LAN Finals to be held from Jan. 15 to 18 at Cyber Arena in Kiev, Ukraine.
The European region qualifiers, which is still in its group stages, is the only division left ongoing. Four teams from Europe will qualify in the LAN Finals. SL XI has a base prize pool of $80,000~ $121,742~ (P3.58 million~) which gradually increases through ticket sales. The current prize pool — as of writing — is $121,742 (P5.45 million~).
