Heroes of the Storm to Enter Open Beta This May; First Official Community Meeting to Kickoff Launch
The first official community meetup for Blizzard Entertainment’s exciting new Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA, Heroes of the Storm, will be held at May 9, 2015. The event will kickoff the countdown to its impending open beta release.
PlayPark Philippines, the official publisher of Heroes of the Storm and other Activision Blizzard properties in the Philippines, will host the event at Mineski Infinity, Taft Avenue on May 9, 2015 (Saturday) from 1:00PM to 6:00PM.
Aside from being a venue for Heroes of the Storm fans to meet each other in real life, the event will also feature friendly 5v5 scrim matches, a King of the Hill showdown, special Blizzard merchandise raffle and a special announcement.
Currently on closed beta, Heroes of the Storm is scheduled to go on open beta on May 20 this year.
The event will be open to all existing Heroes of the Storm gamers. Beta keys will be given away at the event for players interested to play the game with the rest of the community.
Heroes of the Storm is a free-to-play MOBA developed by the gaming giant. The game features iconic characters from across Blizzard’s popular IPs: Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo.
While still in closed beta, the game has steadily attracted the attention of established professional gaming teams looking to setup a foothold at its blossoming competitive features.
