Newbee Eliminated in MarsTV Dota 2 League Group Stage, VG Undefeated
Newbee is the first team eliminated in the first group stage of MarsTV Dota 2 League 2015 Spring. They placed last in the Group A bracket with one win and three losses, a total of only three points earned. Meanwhile, Vici Gaming (VG) placed top in the bracket after beating all of the teams.
Even though Newbee is tied with Team Empire, there is no need for a tiebreaker. Empire beat them during the group stages, hence Empire earned the last spot in the top 4 which leaves Newbee eliminated. Empire will join VG, Cloud 9 and EHome for the single-elimination stage.

Next stop for the group stage is Na’Vi vs. LGD, the first match for Group B. Na’Vi, however, will be playing with a stand-in due to some visa issues with their captain, Ivan ‘ArtStyle’ Antonov. After confirming the top 4 for Group B bracket, all eight teams will battle in a single-elimination stage for the semi-finals until two teams remain for the Grand Finals on June 7.
MarsTV Dota 2 League will be giving away a total of $322,000 prizepool (P14,411,1oo).

- 1st: ~$100,000 (40%)
- 2nd: ~$50,000 (20%)
- 3rd: ~$30,000 (12%)
- 4th: ~$20,000 (8%)
- 5th-8th: ~$12,500 (5%)
