Razer NeXT Crossfire Leg 3: Final Round
After two weeks of non-stop action and endless fighting, the last four teams of the Razer NeXT Crossfire Tournament have finally been determined. Sister teams Macta Infirma 2 and Pacific.Macta get the slots from the North, while household Cebu-based teams o0HasLeft0o and WattzKing make it for the South.
Apparently, the rivalry between the North and the South never seems to end as the semi-finals feature again two teams from Manila and Cebu!
Three maps will be played for this final. The first map will be Mexico, which is a Global Risk (GR)-dominated site thanks to its defensible positions. As for the second map, Sub Base is up for grabs as teams try to get the faster rotations on the map. Finally, Ankara reminds people of CS:GO’s Cache where teams have three paths to choose to make their respective plays!*
Macta Infirma 2 vs WattzKing
This is a rather surprising matchup as no one expected Macta Infirma 2 to take the first seed in the group stage of the Northern Conference. They were able to get enough points to create an upset and beat their sister team in the round robin bracket, thus making sure that Pacific.Wara doesn’t get a chance to make the top two of the Northern Conference.
With WattzKing (formerly NxA) taking up the mantle for Cebu, will they be able to take their stride and get into the finals, making history for the South? Or will the Macta Infirma 2 continue to show their marvelous form and book their ticket to the finals?
oOHasLeftOo vs Pacific.Macta
As for this matchup, this is actually a revenge match as they have faced each other in the semi-finals of the previous edition of the tournament. Pacific.Macta took the series in the first instance, going on to become the first back-to-back winner of the Razer NeXT Crossfire tournament.
Now with a new sponsor, will o0HasLeft0o be able to get their vengeance against the guys who denied them a spot in the finals? Or will Pacific.Macta step up and show why they are one of the best CrossFire teams in the country?
Will the South be able to get a team or two to the finals and write another chapter in this tournament? Or will the two Macta teams make it an all-Northern final for the second time around?
Mark your calendars as the Wave Finals commence on Sunday, June 21!
*Other maps may be played as necessary, as long as they appear in the official CrossFire tournament map pool.
