CDEC and MVP.Phoenix off to The International 5 Main Event, Archon and Vega Eliminated
After a day of intense matches, the last two teams for The International 5 main event have finally been determined as the Wild Card comes to a close.
Chinese side CDEC and Korean team MVP.Phoenix make it through the intense best-of-three (Bo3) double elimination bracket. CDEC has beaten MVP.Phoenix, 2-0 in the upper bracket to secure first seed, while the Koreans had to go the full distance against an up-and-coming CIS team in the form of Vega Squadron in order to get the second spot.
As for Archon, they were the first to be eliminated after being beaten by MVP. Phoenix and Vega, 2-1 and 2-0, respectively.

With these results, CDEC will be placed in Group B, which contains some household names such as Evil Geniuses, Vici Gaming and Empire among others. Meanwhile, MVP.Phoenix will face stiff opposition in Group A, which boasts teams such as Invictus Gaming, Team Secret and Fnatic.
The main event begins on Wednesday, August 5, at the Key Arena in Seattle.
