Western teams ramped-up their game in the second day of The International 5 (TI5) group stage overtaking Eastern squads.

European team Team Secret (Secret) is now tied with day one’s top finisher Chinese team LGD Gaming (LGD) with 10 points in group A. While American squad compLexity Gaming (coL) upsets Ukrainian team Natus Vincere (Na’Vi) with a 2-0 series win, putting them at third place of group A with seven points. coL also draw the series against TI2 Champions, Invictus Gaming (IG).

While America-based team Evil Geniuses (EG), who placed in the bottom four at the end of day one, now leads group b with eight points.EG outplayed their opponents and cruised their way to the top. They beat the Korean team, MVP Hot6 and the Chinese team, Vici Gaming (VG).

VG was the leading team during the first day of the Group Stages with 4 points (1-1-0) but they fell short in their performances in day two after having tied against EHome and MVP Hot6. VG is now in the fourth spot while another Chinese team, Newbee, fell into the bottom four with three points (0-0-3).
