After a very successful kick-off season which saw Danish side Team Solo Mid (TSM) take the title against Swedish giants Fnatic, the Professional Gamers League (PGL) now launches its first season, featuring separate leagues for North American (NA) and European teams.

The North American division includes Luminosity Gaming, Team Liquid, CLG and the winner of the NA qualifier, which will begin on August 3. The top team of the NA league will directly proceed to the LAN finals in Bucharest this coming October 2-4, where they will square off against the top three teams of the European league.

Meanwhile, for the European qualifiers, Gamers2, Mousesports, Team Dignitas and HellRaisers have been seeded into the semi-final bracket. They will face the teams who will emerge from the two open brackets, which will commence on August 7.
