The Electronic Sports League (ESL) will organize Blizzard’s Southeast Asia (SEA) Legacy of the Void (LOTV) to celebrate five years of Starcraft II action.

From August to September, a series of qualifiers will be held in the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, in order to determine eight of the tournament’s 10 finalists.

The last two spots will be filled in by a fifth SEA Open, as well as a community Redemption Vote process, which will determine the 9th and 10th seeds, respectively. Only the third placer from each country qualifier, as well as the silver finisher in the SEA Open, will be nominated for the Redemption Vote.

The Round of 10 opens midway through October and will see the players divided into two groups of five. The round robin format at this stage will further thin the competition to a final 6, with the top two players from each group advancing to the upper bracket, while the third placers for each are seeded straight into the lower bracket.
