Two Former Newbee Players Still Has a Chance to Defend Their TI Title
Only two former The International (TI) champions remain in having a chance to win the Aegis for the second time. Former Newbee players and winner of TI4 are now playing for different teams in the hopes of defending their title.
Zhang ‘xiao8′ Ning, who was the former captain of Newbee, is now playing and leading under LGD’s banner. Chen ‘Hao‘ Zhihao, former carry of Newbee, is now playing for Vici Gaming (VG).

Both teams are currently in the lower bracket. VG was able to eliminate two teams yesterday, fellow Chinese team EHome and Korean team MVP.Phoenix. Meanwhile LGD had a devastating loss, 2:0, to CDEC who brought them down to the lower bracket.
LGD will be facing European team, Virtus Pro (VP) where the winner will battle against VG. If LGD wins against VP, then the two former teammates will face each other on the brink of elimination. Only one former TI champion will stand to compete in the Grand Finals. Who will it be?
