$10K At Stake for the BTS Series SEA
The BTS Series Southeast Asia (SEA) open qualifier was announced to start on August 29-30, on the FACEIT platform.
The BTS Series, organized by Beyond the Summit, is a tournament set in different regions that has over $180,000 at stake (P8.4 million~). It is composed of 18 competition across three regions: SEA, Europe and The Americas.
Each event will have an open qualifier for any aspiring to teams who would want to take a chance in the big leagues. The winners from each region will get a chance to compete against the winners from the other region.
According to the project manager of the BTS Series, David Parker, the huge success of BTS Americas pushed them to branch out to Europe and SEA. Parker said that the BTS Series will give an opportunity for new teams from all over the world to compete.
“The BTS Series will give rising stars a chance to compete against more established teams. Additionally, it will provide support to regions which otherwise have suffered for lack of events and support, specifically America & SEA.”
The BTS Series SEA will have a 10-day format and top SEA teams like Fnatic, Gigabyte.Mineski and MVP.Hot6 will participate in the competition.
