What You Need to Know About the Overwatch Closed Beta Coming October 27
Blizzard just announced that the Closed Beta (CBT) client for Overwatch will be live come October 27. Everyone has the chance to be among the first ones to view what can be expected as a beta preview will be streamed live by October 16th.
Before everyone’s hype reach its highest, here’s what you need to know about the closed beta for Blizzard Entertainment’s newest First Person Shooter (FPS) game, Overwatch.
Two Primary Goals
Gameplay Feedback – to get feedback on every balancing issues and all that relates to the overall feel and fun of the game.
Tech Testing – to make sure that the game runs well on all systems.
Two Groups
Closed Beta Group – The core of the testing crew that will be assigned the mission of giving gameplay feedback and to discuss every detail (such as heroes, maps and abilities) of the game.
The first phase of the CBT will be live by October 27 in the Americas region. Those in the European and Asian regions will have to wait a little bit longer.
The number of people invited will be extremely limited.
Beta Test Weekends – The goal is to get as many players to challenge other specifics of the system like specific maps, heroes or server stability.
The first wave of the Beta Test Weekends is planned after BlizzCon which is early November.
