UPDATE: Looks like the TNC Pro Team will first have to fly and succeed in an initial LAN group stage in Vilnius, Lithuania. TNC will face the seven other qualified teams, with the best four proceeding to Moscow. Start date of the Vilnius stage of the competition is on November 30 and will go on until December 3.

Just a week after Mineski secured their spot in The Summit 4 Dota 2 tournament in Los Angeles, TNC Pro Team has also qualified for the Game Show Global Cup Season 1 tournament qualifier in Vilnius, Lithuania on November 30, 2015.

The stakes? A P14.8 million ($330,000) prize pool tournament and a shot at bringing back Filipino excellence in Dota 2.

FEATURED STORIES

Last Sunday, TNC Pro Team managed to run the gauntlet, besting former The International 5 contenders and Mineski to win the top spot in the Game Show Global Cup Southeast Asian qualifier.

On the way to the finals, TNC faced up-and-coming SEA Dota 2 team, Pang5. TNC managed to sweep the series, 2-0, where they faced another regional powerhouse in Signature.Trust.

The Filipino squad then faced their Thai competitors in a Best-of-Five showdown. Despite Trust’s history of closing the door on Filipino intentions in qualifier tournaments, TNC managed to sweep their rivals, 3-0 to book their ticket for Russia.

With the win, TNC preserves their pristine win-rate for the month of November at 7-0 in professional games.  No small feat, given the handicap professional Dota 2 players in the Philippines face when competing online. Slow internet speeds and intermittent connections have famously plagued professional eSports players in the country.

The Game Show Global Cup Season 1 Tournament will begin their tournament on November 30 and will end on December 6.
