It was a convincing best of five series in favor of team OG. They defeated Team Secret, 3:1, and they will go home as the champions of the first Dota 2 major tournament, The Frankfurt Major.

Starting off their journey in the lower bracket, team OG–formerly known as team (monkey) business–climbed their way up to the Grand Finals. They sent home teams like Fnatic, Virtus.Pro and the Philippines’ own Mineski.Dota. Chinese teams, EHOME and CDEC weren’t able to stop OG from making it to the top.

OG will take home around $1 million (Php 43 million~) and Secret will not go home empty-handed with their $405,000 (Php 19 million~) prize money.

Secret meeting in the fountain: Team OG breaking into Secret’s top lane while Secret remained in the fountain, no longer defending their base.

One more win for OG and they will take the victory but Secret would not let them take it so easily. Secret chose Wraith King against Sven.

Objective gaming: Team Secret went for Roshan after wiping out team OG in a smoke gank encounter.

It looked like Secret just gave a glimmer of hope for OG and will be winning the next three games of the series. However, OG didn’t lose their momentum.

Brewmaster is back: He proved to be an effective initiator during team fights, as OG relentlessly pushed their way to their first championship win.

Secret’s Juggernaut and Alchemist was not able to get on par with OG Doom’s farm. They weren’t able to solo kill him during an encounter in the Radiant’s camp. All of OG’s heroes were effectively synchronized with Rubicon getting all the necessary spells and Brewmaster’s initiations.
