EG Bags The Summit Championship for the Second Time
Evil Geniuses (EG) bags another championship after winning 3:2 against European team, Virtus.Pro (VP), in The Summit 4 last Sunday.
Not only are they the first winners of the tournament when it started last year, they are also the first team to win first place for the second time. EG will take home $114,000~(Php 5.4 million~) while VP will settle for $25,000~(Php 1.1 million~)in second place.

VP had a two-win advantage against EG during the best-of-five Grand Final match but EG jumped back into the game and took three consecutive wins.
EG still has a long way to go in beating the record for most championships in a tournament. Another European team, Natus Vincere (Na’Vi) is still leading after they won in Starladder for four consecutive times, from season 1 to season 4. Then two more consecutive wins from season 7 and 8.
