Join the Club, If You Can: 8 Universities in Malaysia with eSports Club
Due to the continuous flourishing of eSports in Southeast Asia, Universities are noticing the impact of the industry with the youth. Eight universities in Malaysia established an eSports club in the hopes for a more competitive gaming industry in the country.
Aside from the eight universities, three more are in the process of forming their own eSports club. ESports Malaysia, the country’s eSports governing body, continues to encourage more universities to do the same.
Malaysia isn’t the first country that saw the potential of eSports. In Norway, a school already added eSports as a subject. In South Korea, there are universities that offers a degree in eSports while others are organizing their own tournaments whether it’s in Asia or the Americas.
