Earlier today, Ronald “Rhom” Robins, founder and CEO of Philippine gaming organization Mineski, has posed a challenge to all Filipino Dota 2 players out there.

The terms are simple and blunt for anyone out there to understand: Be a Filipino citizen, play Dota 2, have the desire to become a professional player and break 7000 matchmaking rating (MMR) in-game.

The top five Filipino players in the SEA Dota 2 MMR Leaderboards will be given a total of P15,000 in cash incentives in order to pursue their goals. In addition, they will be formed up into a separate team, as Robins himself states in a reply to a comment on his post:

Furthermore, it can seen that the team will not have a signed contract even though they are required to play as diligently as they can.

FEATURED STORIES

Apparently, Mineski wants to search for new Dota 2 talent in order to create a lineup that can go up with the likes of local mainstays Mineski, TNC and Execration among others.

It can also be seen as a continuation of Mineski’s efforts in order to make a bigger splash on the local eSports scene this 2016.
